Youth Development Program

Our program combines the sport of squash with educational enrichment to help Baltimore City Public School youth succeed in school and in life.

Students typically join SquashWise in middle school and we continue to support them through high school graduation and into postsecondary placements (college, career training, military, or the workforce).

Learn More

Do you know a Baltimore City Public School 6th-10th grader who might be interested in trying out a new sport, or someone who is looking for an afterschool activity? We encourage you to email our Acting Senior Program Director, Zach Bradley, to learn more about our programming and the enrollment process. We welcome new students throughout the year as space allows.

Activities

Middle and high school sessions take place Monday – Saturday throughout the school year at our Sisson St facility. Each student attends two-four sessions per week, which contain a mix of the following activities:

  • Tutoring
  • Interest exploration
  • College visits
  • Career speakers
  • Application and financial aid workshops for college and career training
  • 1:1 advising
  • Squash coaching at our recreational, JV and Varsity practices
  • Fitness conditioning
  • Squash competition at matches and tournaments, both locally and across the country

Department of Graduate Success

SquashWise graduates are doing big things, and the Department of Graduate Success is here to partner with them on their college and career journeys. We offer 1:1 advising and a variety of scholarship programs to a growing number of alumni, ages 18-25, each year.
